If you have been struggling with weight loss for a long time and diets aren’t bringing the expected results, then it's high time to consider having gastric balloon treatment.
The procedure is performed in our partner Bariatric Clinic in the centre of Poland. There are direct flight connections from major cities in the UK and Ireland, the trip takes just 2 hours. We will schedule your visit for the balloon implantation for about 3 days. An MTA Poland local resident will meet you at the airport and you will be taken to the selected hotel in the city centre. Our resident will be at your disposal during your entire stay in Poland, and you will also be provided with a prepaid mobile phone to have easy access to the resident and the Clinic.
The next morning you will be brought from the hotel to the Clinic. The appointment starts with medical tests and consultations. The doctor will explain everything to you about the procedure, and you will also be provided with instructions on how to achieve the best possible weight loss results. The balloon implantation procedure is very simple and straightforward. It is performed under sedation, which makes it completely painless. Patients are released from the Clinic about 2-3 hours after the procedure. You will be ready to return home even the next day after the balloon implantation, however we recommend our patients to stay in Poland one day extra to have a rest and relax.
The balloon will be inserted into the stomach and remain there for a period of 6 months. This tool will help you to change your eating habits and to limit the size of your meals. You simply won't be able to eat very much at one time. We will stay in touch with you during this entire time and will remind you about your new eating habits. The results vary by individual, however patients usually lose 2-3 stones during the treatment period. After 6 months, we will arrange your next visit for the balloon removal - this time you can come to Poland for just 1 day.
