Description
Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty) can alter the shape and appearance of a nose by changing the underlying cartilage and bone. Nose surgery can make a large nose smaller, make a wide nose thinner, and make a long nose shorter. The procedure may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Discomfort after the treatment occurs very often but is moderate. Bruising improves in 3-7 days if a nasal bones are not broken, and 7-14 if they are. Bandages usually include a cast and tape, which are removed in 7-10 days. Sport activities need to be avoided for 2 weeks.
